With these words the critics embrace Alberto Rosado as one of the most relevant contemporary music performers around today, a fact proven by his concerts in Spain, Hungary, Switzerland, Chile, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Holland, Britain, France, Belgium, Ireland and Japan. He has played as a soloist under the conductors Josep Pons, Rafael Frübeck de Burgos, Arturo Tamayo, Philip Greenbeck, Dorel Murgu and José Luis Temes and has developed as a pianist and chamber musician with Josep Colom, Peter Nagy, Ferenc Rados, Jan Wijn and Luca Chiantore amongst others.
He takes part in the Plural Ensemble and the Proyecto Gerhard with whom he has appeared in the "Presences" in Paris, "Ars Music" in Brussels, "A Tempo" in Caracas, "Musica" in Strasburg, "Quincena Donostiarra"and "Música Contemporánea" in Alicante Festivals as well as in Venice, Lisbon, Utrecht, Bremen and Rome under the conductors Fabián Panisello, José Ramon Encinar, Zsolt Nagy, Jean Paul Dessy, Daniel Kawka, Peter Rundel and Mark Foster. He has played a number of premiere perfomances by European and Spanish composers with whom he has worked closely.
His CD with works by Ligeti, Messiaen, Takemitsu and Cage on the Verso label has had an excellent reception from the European critics. He has also done three recordings with the Plural Ensemble of David del Puerto, Fabián Panisello and César Camarero. Besides these he has been recorded by the R.T.V.E., R.N.E. and the majority of European radio stations.
He combines his concert activity with teaching as head of the Chamber Music department in the Superior Conservatoire in Salamanca, Spain where he also gives contemporary piano classes and conducts the Contemporary Music Workshop. During 2003 and 2004 he was guest professor in the Catholic University in Santiago de Chile.
He has just recorded the José Manuel López López complete piano music and he his going to record the complete piano and two pianos work of Cristóbal Halffter and the Ravel's piano and strings chamber music.
